All-in-One Laser Printer
So you're looking for an all-in-one laser printer (also known as a multifunction laser printer), but are finding that the vast (and ever-increasing) selection of different makes and models on the market somewhat overwhelms your ability to make an straight-forward purchase decision? No problem. This site aims to educate about all the different features of these printers and includes an ever-growing number of reviews and descriptions of the various models available to buy.
What is an all-in-one laser printer?
Quite simply these are a laser printer and a scanner (and often a fax machine) combined, which allows you to scan, print, photocopy and send/receive faxes with the same single machine, thus eradicating the need to purchase multiple separate units.

The concept of an all-in-one or multifunction printer isn't a new one by any means - they've been on the market for many years. Until recently however, most of the models available incorporated a regular inkjet printer, and thus were only really feasible for small office and/or home use, given the rate at which the ink cartridges expired. The running costs for any high volume use would've been far too extortionate.
As with everything technology related however, costs have come down sunstantially and now we are seeing more of these printers spring up in the form of the all-in-one or multifunction laser printer, with both monotone and colour printing abilities. These better endure not only substantially heavier use, but also tend to work out much less costly to run, given that toner cartridges are larger and more efficient than normal inkjet cartridges, and thus last a lengthier amount of time.
Looks wise, these printers appear very similar to a normal laser printer (normally square-ish in shape) but with a flatbed scanner merged onto the top; or just like a very small photocopier.
Is an all-in-one laser printer suited to your needs?
If you need (or currently use) both a scanner and a printer then the answer, quite simply, would be yes — one would be suited to your needs, and would likely prove to be more convenient than operating both a scanner and a laser printer separately.
There is enough of a selection of different models on the market now that there is sure to be an all-in-one laser printer which will suit your requirements, whether that be home use, or use in as small-to-medium sized office.
Price ranges vary significantly from low-end to high-end models to suit all budgets, and the print speed and resolution varies according to the amount you're prepared to spend.
Check out the reviews of each individual printer for in-depth descriptions of the various features of each model. Good luck in your research to find the best multifunction laser printer for your needs!
